Our wines -> Barbera del Monferrato D.O.C. |

It is obtained from our vineyard Barbera del Monferrato.
Its characteristics are similar to the ones of Barbera d’Asti doc,
apart from its natural effervescence.
HARVEST
Harvesting takes place between 1st and 10th October,
depending on the ripening of the grapes.
WINE MAKING
The grapes are pressed and the stalk removed, then they
are pumped in thermo-controlled special tanks, where
selected yeasts are added to promote the alcoholic
fermentation.
After the devatting and a racking, the
malo-lactic fermentation starts for a natural
de-acidification. The following racking are made to obtain
a more limpid colour; thanks to a second fermentation in
autoclave, due to the remaining sugars, it acquires a light
foam, that gives it its vivacious texture.
ORGANOLEPTIC FEATURES
Colour: ruby red.
Bouquet: vinous, fruity.
Taste: vivacious, dry, medium-structured.
HOW TO SERVE IT
Serve in young red wine glasses.
Temperature: 16-18°
Food pairings: it can be drunk during the whole meal,
above all with first dishes with legumes, risottos, second
courses of meat and fresh or medium matured cheeses.
